VISITORS

If you are a visitor to the website you are very welcome here!  My name is Raymond Van Neste and I founded Painting for Charity in 2006.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Since it's creation Painting for Charity has been and still is about people within the community simply having a heart for people who are suffering the worst kinds of poverty or at the mercy of the worst kinds of injustice around the globe.  With this in mind Painting for Charity is about creativtiy in it's broader sense!   From this perspective creativity and inspiration become the source in which people suffering might be helped.

Painting for Charity is not about creating great works of art, on the contrary, it's about having a heart to try to do 'something' no matter what that something is!   It's my belief that it's possible spiritually to tip the balance, through the reaching out of our hearts, to make things happen for the better and to ease the suffering and poverty of our brothers and sisters globally.

ART, PHOTOGRAPHY, WRITING AND POETRY

Painting for Charity uses the great traditions of art, photography and writing (including poetry) as a way of raising money to either support causes directly or to donate to registered charities around the world.  How this is done is through the kindness of volunteers who give up some of their time to paint pictures, take photographs or write articles.  The paintings and photographs are then sold directly on the website or put up for sale in exhibitions to raise money for Painting for Charity's causes.

POVERTY AND GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE - THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS

Painting for Charity  works specifically for the cause of justice and peace in our world especially in relation to poverty in all of its guises and the related cause of global climate change.  The effects of climate change have, especially during the last decade, devastated and killed off whole communities of people or prevented them from sustaining a living in order to survive.

THE ONENESS OF ALL CREATION

I believe stongly  that the human race is 'one' and is interconnected in the greatness of difference and diversity in all of its glory.  The belief about oneness is equaly related to the belief that the world we live in has to be looked after as a gift from God.   It's this form of spirituality which is the building block of Painting for Charity and it's one of the main reasons why it is concerned for the work of justice and peace. These beliefs for me are always prevalent in my writing and can be seen over and over again in my articles in the News and Articles section of this website.
